Ben Rice is a Brooklyn based record producer, mixer, songwriter, and guitarist. He has worked with artists including Valerie June, Joan Osborne, The National, James Bay, Jonas Brothers, Norah Jones, The Candles, Mavis Staples, Meghan Trainor, Nicole Atkins, Jim Sclavunos, and The Skins.

Rice produced “Colors” and engineered multiple tracks on Valerie June’s album The Moon And Stars: Prescriptions for Dreamers (#1 Americana Music Chart) and received 2021 Americana Awards nominations for Album of the Year and Producer of the Year, played guitar and engineered on the Jonas Brothers’ Billboard #1 hit “Like It’s Christmas”, and produced The Skins' self-titled EP which led to the band signing a recording contract with Rick Rubin/American Recordings.

His production style has been described as “Americana through a Brooklyn filter” by Brooklyn Magazine and he has become a go-to collaborator for some of LA’s top producers looking to infuse organic elements into their production, working with Gian Stone (Justin Bieber, Maroon 5) and Jon Levine (Dua Lipa, Rachel Platten).

Rice was mentored by and has worked with producers Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin), Gus Van Go (The Beaches, Metric), Youth (The Verve, Paul McCartney). As a performer, he has toured internationally sharing stages with Arctic Monkeys, Band of Skulls, The Bravery, Brendan Benson and Killing Joke. His songs have been heard in shows on ABC, CBS, HBO, Fox, NBC, and Showtime, as well as on Triple A and Americana radio.
